The four + hours we spent with Mossie Scanlon were so much more than simply seeing the great natural beauty of the Dingle Peninsula. We shared stories: learning a ton about Mossie's own history as well as the difficult history of the Irish people, the abundance of their resilience to colonial rule, and their pride in the Republic of Ireland. Mossie shared his gift of song with us and recommended where we could find a great meal and the pub to find a memorable night with a community gathered around traditional music. Thank you, Mossie!

We saw Conor’s Pass, did a... read more short hike to Peddlers Lake and drove the Slea Head Drive. Mossie tailored the longer stops around my interest in history. I particularly loved Gallarus Oratory, Kilmalkedar and some sites associated with the famine. The scenery is beautiful. Mossie has a beautiful voice which was wonderful to hear as this was the only time I got to hear Irish music on my travels in Ireland. This is a not to be missed tour,

Not only is she delightful company, but she blew us away with the breadth and depth of her knowledge of the area specifically and Irish history generally. The views and sites along the way are breathtaking, and we learned so much (and appreciated everything so much more!) thanks to Helen. If you’re coming to Dingle, don’t wait until the last minute to book your tour—book it early, and make sure you book it with Helen! It will be the best part of your trip to Ireland. It certainly was the best part of ours.
